Lots of people are suggesting that sites like Airbnb have not just been successful at changing how we experience short-term rental of accommodation all over the world. Airbnb has also created a whole new “eco-system” of start-ups whose business relies on people who are open to the “sharing economy”.
Guesty is a case in point – they attracted seed capital funding to grow their business which helps Airbnb users, who are short on time, to manage their guest experiences.
Another case in point is Quid Pro who help landlords and property owners to maximize income from property or space by seeking out short-term guests through sites like Airbnb, Dwellable and HomeAway. Research has shown this use of property to be much more profitable compared to income from residential tenants.
